Manasamitra tablet uses:

Maanasamitra Vatakam is a tablet used to enhance intelligence, speech disorders, and so on in Ayurvedic treatment of psychiatric conditions. It is prepared from 73 ingredients in a combination. And under close medical supervision should this drug be administered. Centered on Kerala Ayurveda principles, this medicine is formulated.

It is used in the management of depression and psychosis in Ayurveda.
In infants, it is used in disorders such as autism to promote brain processes, memory and attention.
It is used in the treatment of seizures, convulsions, and mania.
It is used in the treatment of toxins as well.
To show its utility as a neuro-protective medication, there are several scientific papers published on this drug.

Manasamitra  dosage:

1 – 2 tablets once or twice a day, before or after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor. It is traditionally given along with milk.

Adjuvants: Warm cow’s milk or Brahmi gritham or Mahakalyanaka gritham, Saraswatha gritham.

How long to use:
It can be used for a period of 6 months to one year or even longer, based on your doctor’s advice.

Maanasamitra Gulika side effects:
It should be used only under medical supervision. Over dosage may cause burning sensation in stomach.
Keep out of reach and sight of children. Store in cool dry place.
Some people may experience worsening of mood and increase of anxiety.
This product is not habit forming. But it is generally advised not to stop this all of a sudden. The stopping should happen very gradually.

Over-dosage- A dose of 6 tablets per day has caused palpitation and stomach burning sensation in a patient.
